Donatas Pocius, Researcher
Donatas has been working in PPMI since 2008 and holds more than 3 years of experience in public policy research, mostly as a research team member in projects related to education and labour market policies. During his work, he has contributed significantly to provision of policy advice in these areas to the European Commission. He is also heavily involved in various project management activities and has been managing several EU funded framework contracts.
Key areas of expertise
- Policy areas: Education (esp. financing of vocational education and training and adult learning), labour market.
- Methods: Interviews, surveys, statistical analysis, qualitative research methods (e.g. focus groups), desk research.
- Project management: management of research activities covering all EU countries, as well as partner / candidate countries, including coordination of culturally and linguistically diverse project teams; management of EU funded framework contracts; cooperation and negotiation with external experts and partner companies, construction of strong project teams and consortia for future research opportunities.
