Hanna Siarova, Researcher

 

Hanna has been working in PPMI since the beginning of 2011 and contributed to public policy research, mostly as a research team member in projects related to education and migration policies. During her work, she has contributed significantly to provision of policy advice in these areas to the European Commission. She is also involved in various project management activities. 

 

 

 

Key areas of expertise

  • Policy areas: education (particularly school education to disadvantaged groups including migrant children), migration and children‘s rights policies.
  • Methods: qualitative (e.g. qualitative comparative analysis (QCA) and quantitative analysis, desk-based research.
  • Project management: management of research activities of national experts in all EU countries within the research projects; coordination of national experts’ teams; organization of experts’ meetings; negotiation with external experts; composition of strong project teams.

Hanna has participated in a number of conferences and workshops devoted to European integration and ENP policies and made an internship in Open Society Institute (Hungary) within Local Governance Initiative during which she worked on transparency issues of local governance reform. 

Hanna is also interested in energy policy and governance. She has participated in a number of conferences in the field of energy strategies and in European Energy Forum (2011) in Poland. She has also written several research and policy papers on European energy security, conventional energy sources and nuclear energy from public policy perspective.
