Simonas Gaušas, principal analyst
Simonas has more than 7 years of professional work experience in public policy research and evaluation. Working as a member or manager of the project teams he mostly focuses on education, labour market and regional policies. During his career he has provided methodologically sound, well-managed evidence-based policy advice and support services to the European Commission and Lithuanian government institutions as well as public institutions in non-EU countries.
Key areas of expertise:
- Policy areas: Education (esp. financing of vocational education and training, higher education and adult learning), labour market (esp. labour mobility and forecasting of labour supply and demand), social policy and regional development.
- Methods: Interviews, surveys, statistical analysis (using SPSS), foresight analysis methods.
- Project management: large experience in managing projects covering all EU and partner/candidate countries; more than five years of management of EU funded framework contracts; managing of both national and international expert teams; intensive cooperation with external experts and partner companies.
